MENTOR PROGRAM
The Lezfinity Peer Mentoring Progam empowers women to live a more full, happy and productive life. Mentors aim to support mentees through many facets of LGBTQ identity development. This is accomplished through frank information, one-on-one conversations, wherein support and information are provided. Mentors serve as positive role models and provide resource information.
SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
Lezfinity is proud to provide an annual scholarship to LBT students in the Valley. The Lezfinity Scholarship Program strives to help young women in the community achieve their goals in higher education by providing funds to facilitate their learning as well as mentorship to help them achieve academic success.
FISCAL SPONSORSHIP
Lezfinity is now providing fiscal sponsorship to LGBT community projects, allowing them to act as a non-profit without the paperwork of a registered 501(c)(3). Fiscal sponsorship allows a project to accept tax-deductible donations, apply for most grants, and receive insurance coverage by utilizing the 501(c)(3) status of an existing organization.
DISCUSSION GROUPS
LGBTQThe mission of Lezfinity is to create a safe space where LBT women and their allies will have access to important resources and referrals regarding health care, social services, and community activities. It’s a place for all women – younger women, older women, women with kids, women of color, women of faith – to strengthen and enhance their quality of ife.
FAMILY CONNECTIONS
We know how hard it can be for LBT families to connect with other families like their own, and we’re here to help forge friendships. Lezfinity offers semi-annual events designed for parents and children to gather, play and mingle in a safe space. Young and old are invited to partake in free food, face painting, and other outdoor activities.
SENIOR SERVICES
LGBTQ older adults are twice as likely to live alone as non-LGBTQ adults and half as likely to have a spouse, life partner or significant other as older adults in the general population. Lezfinity is committed to developing programs and services focused on the unique needs of LGBTQ seniors.
